Q.

How will I know you have added my child to the waiting list?

A.

We will send a confirmation email that stating we have received your email and have added your child to our waiting list. Please allow time for us to respond.

Q.

How long is your waiting list?

A.

We have to match your requirements with our current availability. We also have to ensure we have a place for your child as they move from one room to the next as they progress through the nursery.  Availability is currently very limited, but periodically a place may become available. We will work through our waiting list and offer the place to the next family matching availability.

Q.

Can we book a visit to look around the nursery?

A.

As our availability is so limited, we will invite you to visit the nursery once we are in a position to offer you a place. This reduces the disruption to the children who are already at nursery.

Q.

What is your settling in process?

A.

We tailor the settling in process to you and your child, and are guided by your knowledge of your child and your child’s previous experience of being with other family members and other settings. We generally start 3 weeks before your start date with a visit to the nursery to discuss your child’s care plan that you will have completed online, and then work with you increasing the length of the sessions gradually. We may start with an hour and build up until you are confident that your child will feel happy and secure with their key person.

Q.

Once we have been offered a place and looked around the nursery, how do we secure the place?

A.

We ask you to email your acceptance of the place, confirm your start date and send one week’s fees as a deposit. The deposit will be credited to your account and will be applied to your first month’s fees.

Q.

How much are our fees?

A.

Our fees are detailed in the 'Nursery Info' which can be located half way down our home page on our website www.sawtrydaynursery.co.uk

Q.

Do you offer the government’s 15 and 30 hours childcare support (see childcare choices.gov.uk)?

A.

Yes, we offer childcare support funding. The 570/1140 hours are stretched over 51 weeks.

Q.

When are nursery fees due?

A.

Fees are due in advance by 7th of the month for that month.

Q.

Do you charge a consumables charge?

A.

Where your child is in receipt of the 15/30 hours of childcare support funding, we charge a consumables charge to cover the additional costs that we have to ensure we remain financially viable.

Q.

Do you charge for bank holidays?

A.

No, we do not charge for bank holidays. We are also closed between Christmas and New Year for which there are no fees payable.

Q.

Do you charge for family holidays and periods of illness?

A.

We charge families for the nursery place, whether or not it is used.

Q.

Are there any additional charges?

A.

Our day rate is from 8.00am to 5.30pm. We have an additional charge from 7.45am to 8.00am and from 5.30pm to 6.00pm.

Q.

What do parents need to provide?

A.

We ask parents to provide nappies, nappy cream, baby milk and any alternative dietary milk.
