We are currently fully booked and are therefore unable to accept any new registrations at this time. Due to the level of demand, we have also temporarily closed our waiting list until early 2027.

Please keep an eye on our homepage, where we will post any updates regarding future availability and the reopening of our waiting list.

Visiting the Nursery

As places are currently very limited, we arrange nursery visits once we are in a position to offer your child a place.

This approach helps us to minimise disruption to the children already attending the nursery and allows us to ensure that, when you do visit, we can give you the time and attention needed to show you around properly and answer any questions you may have.

Adding your child to our waiting list -

How will I know you have added my child to the waiting list?

You will receive an email, confirming we have received your completed Application Form and added your child to our waiting list. Please allow time for us to respond.

How long is your waiting list?

We have to match your requirements with our current availability, and also ensure we have a place for your child as they progress through the nursery. This academic year, places are currently extremely limited. As a place becomes available, we will work through our waiting list and offer it to the next family matching their requirements.

Can we book a visit to look around the nursery?

Once we are able to offer you a place, we will invite you to visit the nursery so you can make the decision about whether you would like your child to attend Sawtry Day Nursery. This reduces the disruption to the children who are already at nursery.

What is your settling in process?

A.

We tailor the settling in process to you and your child, and are guided by your knowledge of your child and your child’s previous experience of being with other family members and other settings. We generally start 3 weeks before your start date with a visit to the nursery to discuss your child’s care plan that you will have completed online, and then work with you increasing the length of the sessions gradually. We may start with an hour and build up until you are confident that your child will feel happy and secure with their key person.

Once we have been offered a place and looked around the nursery, how do we secure the place?

Once you have visited the nursery and emailed your acceptance of the place, we will agree a start date. We will contact you about 5-6 weeks before the start date to arrange a paperwork visit and start the settling in process.

How much are our fees and are there any additional charges?

Do you offer the government’s 15 and 30 hours childcare support (see www.beststartinlife.gov.uk)?

Yes, we offer funded places and stretch the funded hours over 50 weeks.

When are nursery fees due?

Fees are due in advance by 7th of the month for that month.

Do you charge for bank holidays?

A.

We do not charge fees when the nursery is closed. Therefore, no fees are payable between Christmas and New Year or on bank holidays.

Fees remain payable over family holidays and periods of illness.

What do parents need to provide?

A.

We ask parents to provide nappies, nappy cream, baby milk and any alternative dietary milk.
