Comprehensive Childcare at Sawtry Day Nursery

Sawtry Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday and offers full days, mornings and afternoons. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer childcare on an hourly basis or on a term time only basis. We understand that families have differing needs, so we have various options available in order to create a tailor made childcare package blending funded sessions, non funded sessions and additional extras.
Government Funding

The Early Years Government Funding is designed to cover basic childcare and does not include many of the extras we have always provided as part of our nursery day. ​

The funding does not cover the provision of meals, snacks, additional hours, consumables including wipes and suncream, or extra activities such as Rugby tots and Bumblebeats.​

Parents may claim up to either 570, or 1140 hours of government funding per year depending on the age of your child and your financial circumstances. Your eligibility and further information can be checked on www.beststartinlife.gov.uk.​

As a day nursery we stretch the funding, so a child who is eligible for the '30 funded hours' can claim a maximum of 22.5 hours per week over 50 weeks with Sawtry Day Nursery. ​

Funding is not available during the week prior to the August bank holiday and the week between Christmas and New Year. Full fees are payable for the non funded week in August.

At Sawtry Day Nursery, we ensure all bases are covered with our abc inclusive childcare plan, providing everything your child needs to enjoy a great day at nursery and feel a part of our nursery community.

Healthy and nutritious food is freshly prepared on site by our nursery cook using quality ingredients

Our 3 meals and snacks together are priced at just £8.00 per day offering excellent value for money, and more importantly offering convenience by taking the hassle and stress out of having to prepare and bring in food, giving you peace of mind that all food and drinks are provided for your child each day.

Funded Sessions
To help you make the most of your government funding, we offer the following inclusive funded sessions for your child for 50 weeks of the year.
FUNDED DAY 9.0 HRS 8:00AM - 5:00PM £8.00
FUNDED MORNING 4.5 HRS 8:00AM - 12:30PM £6.00
FUNDED AFTERNOON 4.5 HRS 1:00PM - 5:30PM £2.00
Prebooked Additional Extras
If you need to extend either your funded day or your non-funded day, we can add additional hours. These are prebooked and arranged on registration or during your settling in sessions
EARLY START 0.25 HRS 7:45AM - 8:00AM £2.50
EXTENDED STAY 0.5 HRS 5:00PM - 5:30PM £4.00
LATE STAY 0.5 HRS 5:30PM - 6:00PM £4.50
Early / Late fees: These are strictly charged at £10.00 per quarter of an hour and are initiated if your child is in nursery either before or after the session you have booked.
Where drop off/collection is repeatedly before/after the agreed booking times, the nursery reserves the right to automatically amend the booking for the remainder of the term.
